The sad reality of fully owning a second or third home is the use does not justify the expense. Most second-home owners use their residences approximately 21 days a year---an amount of time that hardly merits the costs and responsibilities involved. In this day and time, it is virtually impossible to rent unused time and have a meaningful financial gain. The wear and tear created by renting, not to mention the minimal amount of income compared to cost, does not make second home ownership what it used to be. Tartan carefully selects only the most exceptional properties to be included in our fractional ownership program. You will have deeded interest in superb second-home choices for less than a typical down payment for the same property. Fractional models within the Tartan organization range from ¼ share (13 weeks use per year) to 1/13 share (4 weeks use per year) on a fixed rotating schedule.
